breakfast with an old friend.

It was hard returning to New York after all of the trials I underwent while living there. However, the prospect of seeing Ginny, my old New York roommate and good friend, made the challenge worth while. She is leaving for Austin, Texas in a matter of days after having paid her dues to the city that never sleeps.

I have always admired her ability to take everything in stride: accepting the good with the bad and always, always moving forward.

Sunday morning found us on the Upper West Side, 73rd and Columbus to be precise, at a stunning restaurant by the name of A.G. Kitchen.

After about twenty minutes of menu review, Ginny settled on the french toast with caramelized pineapple and I went with an omelet. The french toast was probably the wiser decision, but for once my sweet tooth wasn't kicking in.

I was so jealous of Ginny's tiger cuff from Urban Outfitters. She said she got it a while back. What a unique statement piece!

Her hair has gotten so long and I am so intensely jealous. I've been trying for years to grow my hair out past my *cough* boobs. For whatever reason, my hair reaches a certain length and all but comes to halt. Ginny expressed that following a primarily vegan diet may have contributed to her tresses finally surpassing that infuriating nipple hair growth end-point (?).

Happy Friday, everyone! I am unemployed for the next couple of weeks before I start my masters, so expect quality posts more frequently.
